Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the amid brisk in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Smart Finsec(19.98%), Regent Enterprises (19.96%), Superior Finlease(19.60%) and Purple Entertainment(15.19%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 820.97 points down at 78675.18, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 257.85 points at 23883.45.


In the Nifty50 index, 7 stocks closed in the green, while 43 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Smart Finsec, VTM Ltd, Neuland Labs, Tera Software and Electrotherm hit their fresh 52-week high, while Taylormade Renewable, Electronics Mart Ind, Akums Drugs & Pharma, Riddhi Corp. Service and KLRF Ltd touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
