Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the amid brisk in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Bio Green Paper(57.49%), Pharmaids Pharm(20.00%), KJMC Corp. Adv.(19.99%), KJMC Financial(19.98%), Trans Freight(19.97%), Gravity(India)(19.96%), AVI Products India (17.76%), Goodricke Group(17.62%), Lee Nee Soft(17.49%) and Suryo Foods Ind(16.53%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 553.12 points down at 79389.06, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 135.5 points at 24205.35.


In the Nifty50 index, 13 stocks closed in the green, while 37 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Bio Green Paper, Gravity(India), Goodricke Group, Prudent Corporate Advisory Svcs and Cochin Minerals hit their fresh 52-week high, while Gian Life Care, Gautam Gems, Tilak Ventures, Akshar Spintex and Ovobel Foods Ltd touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
