Sensex falls! But these stocks gained over 10% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks rose in excess of 10% on BSE as domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, ended in the red on Friday.

These high-performing stocks that rallied more than 10% during the session included, Panchmahal Steel(12.47%), Gayatri Project(12.14%), Esab India(11.69%), Elecon Engg Co(11.53%), Bharat Bijlee(11.06%), Allsec Tech(10.38%), Oriental Trimex(10.33%), Kuantum Papers(10.06%), Paushak Ltd(10.0%) and MRC Exim(10.0%).

The 30-share Sensex ended 677.77 points down at 59306.93, while the 50-share Nifty index closed 185.6 points down at 17671.65.


In the Nifty 50 index, 19 stocks ended in the green, while 31 stocks closed in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Oriental Veneer, Baid Leasing, Ultracab(India), Esab India and Bharat Bijlee hit their fresh 52-week high, while Adishakti Loha and Ispat Ltd., Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd., Evans Electric, Bhakti Gems and Jewe and ThirdwaveFinIntrm touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
