Sensex falls! But these stocks are up over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Monday's trade on Dalal Street as benchmark Sensex traded 1426.92 points down at 52876.52 level on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Among these top gainers were Essar Sec(up 9.99%), Marathon Nextgen(up 9.98%), Garg Furnace(up 5.0%), Lords Chloro(up 5.0%) and Bhaskar Agro(up 5.0%).

In the Nifty 50 index, the top gainers included Cipla(up 1.00%), HUL(up 0.14%), Nestle India(up 0.07%), Power Grid(up -0.29%) and Shree Cements(up -0.41%).


The Nifty 50 index was trading 406.45 points lower at 15795.35.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty pack, 3 shares traded in the green, while 47 traded in the red.
