Sensex falls! But these stocks are up over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Monday's trade on Dalal Street as benchmark Sensex traded 439.57 points down at 55418.95 level on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Among these top gainers were Focus Business Solution Ltd.(up 9.97%), Vamshi Rubber(up 9.92%), Savera Ind(up 9.8%), Optimus Finance (up 9.66%), Future Enterprises (up 9.36%), Excel Ind(up 9.23%), Niyogin Fintech (up 9.2%), SPS Finquest(up 9.13%), VMS Industries(up 9.06%) and Future Retail(up 9.06%).

In the Nifty 50 index, the top gainers included Tata Steel(up 3.80%), Hindalco(up 2.92%), BPCL(up 2.68%), Coal India Ltd(up 2.05%) and Power Grid(up 2.03%).


The Nifty 50 index was trading 114.6 points lower at 16543.80.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty pack, 14 shares traded in the green, while 34 traded in the red.
