Sensex falls! But these stocks are up over 5% on BSE

Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, believes Monday's pattern could be considered as a High Wave, which reflects high volatility in the market at swing highs.
NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Monday's trade on Dalal Street as benchmark Sensex traded 142.38 points down at 81320.71 level on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Among these top gainers were Kreon Financial(up 9.98%), G G Automotive Gears(up 9.93%), Ravileela Granites(up 9.21%), Southern Infosys(up 9.20%), Cochin Malabar(up 9.19%), ACME Solar Holdings(up 8.73%), Basant Agro Tech(up 8.60%), Manorama Ind(up 8.57%), Dhabriya Polywood(up 8.46%) and ISL Consulting(up 7.96%).

In the Nifty 50 index, the top gainers included Shriram Finance(up 2.47%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.19%), Grasim Inds.(up 1.13%), Tata Motors(up 0.99%) and Nestle India(up 0.85%).


The Nifty 50 index was trading 32.91 points lower at 24804.1.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty pack, 27 shares traded in the green, while 23 traded in the red.
