Sensex falls! But these stocks are up over 5% on BSE

NEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Monday's trade on Dalal Street as benchmark Sensex traded 356.77 points down at 75833.69 level on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Among these top gainers were Swarna Sec(up 9.71%), Deco-Mica Ltd(up 9.24%), RPG Life Sci(up 8.64%), Jaipan Ind(up 7.01%), Gorani Ind(up 6.84%), Ind Prudent Co(up 6.69%), Nilachal Refrac(up 6.60%), Vaarad Ventures(up 6.47%), Vippy Spinpro(up 6.27%) and Vineet Laboratories(up 6.27%).

In the Nifty 50 index, the top gainers included Britannia(up 2.01%), ICICI Bank(up 1.71%), HUL(up 1.30%), Nestle India(up 0.86%) and L&T(up 0.65%).


The Nifty 50 index was trading 114.86 points lower at 22977.35.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty pack, 12 shares traded in the green, while 38 traded in the red.
