Sensex falls! But these stocks are up over 15% on BSE

NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the amid brisk in frontline bluechip counters.

Elcid Investments(up 32.77%), Baba Arts(up 18.16%), Prime Urban Dev(up 16.61%), Chordia Food(up 15.75%) and Lancor Holdings(up 15.68%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.

The 30-share index, BSE was trading 388.93 points down at 79616.11, while the 50-share index, NSE was 140.21 points at 24198.95.


In the Nifty50 index, 11 stocks traded in the green, while 39 stocks were in the red.

Stocks such as Elcid Investments, Dynamic Cables, Paradeep Phosphates, Dynamic Ind and Sharda Cropchem hit their fresh 52-week high, while Spandana Sphoorty, ideaForge Technology, Control Print, Rajnish Wellness and Evergreen Textiles touched their new 52-week low during the session.
