Sensex falls! But these stocks are up over 10% on BSE

In the Nifty 50 index, 4 stocks were trading in the green, while 46 stocks were trading in the red.

NEW DELHI: Quite a few stocks rose in excess of 10% on BSE as domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red on Thursday amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that rallied over 10% included, Punjab Alkalies(14.18%), Ambica Agarbathies & Aroma Industries Ltd.(14.18%), Thyrocare Tech.(13.59%), Parshva Enterprises(13.07%), Magna Electro(12.87%), Den Networks(11.58%), SKP Securities(11.53%), Amrit Corp.(11.12%) and Vivid Mercantile(10.0%).

The 30-share Sensex traded 1106.78 points down at 56751.37, while the 50-share Nifty index fell 323.3 points to 16954.65.

Stocks such as TV18 Broadcast, Ambica Agarbathies & Aroma Industries Ltd., Punjab Alkalies, Parshva Enterprises and Khaitan Chem hit their fresh 52-week high, while IndiaMART, CarTrade Tech, Fabino Life Sciences Ltd., Hind Nat Glass and HDFC AMC touched their new 52-week low in trade.
