PI Industries shares up 0.23% as Nifty drops

NEW DELHI: Shares of PI Industries Ltd. traded 0.23 per cent up in Monday's trade at 10:56AM (IST). Around 830 shares changed hands on the counter.

The stock opened at Rs 3664.5 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 3691.0 and Rs 3646.4, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of PI Industries Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 4010.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 2870.0.

Total market cap of the PI Industries Ltd. stood at Rs 55597.1 crore at the time of writing this report.


Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 1953.6 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2023, down 9.71 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 2163.8 crore and down 17.45 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 1663.4 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 448.6 crore, up 27.52 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

Shareholding pattern
As of 31-Dec-2023, domestic institutional investors held 16.36 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 20.41 per cent and the promoters 46.09 per cent.


Valuation ratio
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 34.91 and a price-to-book ratio of 6.39. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
