Havells India shares down 0.72% as Nifty drops

Nifty continues to climb a wall of worry as it looks to be in the final leg of its rally before heading for a correction.
NEW DELHI: Shares of Havells India Ltd. traded 0.72 per cent down in Thursday's trade at 12:39PM (IST). Around 3,131 shares changed hands on the counter.

The stock opened at Rs 1312.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1315.25 and Rs 1300.65, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of Havells India Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 1408.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 1092.0.

Total market cap of the Havells India Ltd. stood at Rs 81492.73 crore at the time of writing this report.


Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 4898.64 crore for the quarter ended 30-Jun-2023, down 0.15 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 4905.92 crore and down 14.13 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 4292.05 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 287.07 crore, up 18.06 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

Shareholding pattern
As of 30-Jun-2023, DIIs held 3.47 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 23.79 per cent and the promoters 59.43 per cent.


Valuation ratio
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 73.05 and a price-to-book ratio of 11.24. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
