Godrej Consumer shares up 0.34% as Nifty drops

NEW DELHI: Shares of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. traded 0.34 per cent up in Monday's trade at 11:10AM (IST). Around 4,902 shares changed hands on the counter.

The counter opened at Rs 1398.8 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1398.8 and Rs 1378.35, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 1541.3 and a 52-week low of Rs 959.55.

Total market cap of the Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. stood at Rs 142402.16 crore at the time of writing this report.


Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 3408.69 crore for the quarter ended 30-Jun-2024, down 1.18 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 3449.45 crore and down 3.11 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 3518.02 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 450.69 crore, up 41.36 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.

Shareholding pattern
As of 30-Jun-2024, DIIs held 5.89 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 22.42 per cent and the promoters 63.01 per cent.


Valuation ratio
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of -332.18 and a price-to-book ratio of 10.16. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
