GAIL shares rise 1.83% as Sensex climbs

Shares of the GAIL (India) Ltd. traded at Rs 185.8 on BSE at 11:11AM (IST) on Monday, up 1.83 per cent from previous close.

The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 93.15 and a high of Rs 187.8.

Earlier, shares of the company saw a gap up opening in the morning.


A total of 452,399 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 11:11AM (IST).

The stock of GAIL (India) Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 122000.97 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 15.13, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 1.07. Return on equity (ROE) was at 8.64 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 329 stocks traded in the green, while 171 stocks were in the red.

Promoters held 51.9 per cent in the GAIL (India) Ltd. as of 31-Dec-2023 while overseas and domestic institutional investors owned 14.24 per cent and 19.36 per cent, respectively.
