Berger Paints shares drop 5.34% as Sensex rises

Shares of the Berger Paints (India) Ltd. traded at Rs 585.5 on BSE at 01:55PM (IST) on Friday, down 5.34 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 543.85 and a high of Rs 813.05.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap down opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 60.24 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 9.74 per share and 17.31 times its book value, as per BSE data.


A total of 60,430 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:55PM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 56969.63 crore and is part of the Paints/Varnishes industry.

The scrip has been an underperformer , down 21.91 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 3.75 per cent fall in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 616.0 and Rs 583.65.

Promoters held 60.51 per cent in the company as of 30-Jun-2022. FII and MF ownership in Berger Paints (India) Ltd. stood at 11.03 per cent and 1.01 per cent, respectively.
