Avenue Supermart shares gain 0.54% as Sensex rises

Shares of the Avenue Supermarts Ltd. traded at Rs 4052.55 on BSE at 12:23PM (IST) on Thursday, up 0.54 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 3292.65 and a high of Rs 4225.0.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap up opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 113.15 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 35.84 per share and 13.72 times its book value, as per BSE data.


A total of 4,940 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:23PM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 263872.26 crore and is part of the Supermarkets industry.

The scrip has been an underperformer , down 3.54 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 12.61 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 4060.2 and Rs 3996.15.

Promoters held 74.65 per cent in the company as of 30-Sep-2023. FII and MF ownership in Avenue Supermarts Ltd. stood at 7.67 per cent and 7.27 per cent, respectively.
