Ambuja Cements shares gain 0.5% as Sensex rises

Shares of the Ambuja Cements Ltd. traded at Rs 591.8 on BSE at 12:22PM (IST) on Wednesday, up 0.5 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 324.3 and a high of Rs 596.5.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap up opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 37.14 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 15.95 per share and 2.29 times its book value, as per BSE data.


A total of 134,215 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:22PM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 117619.7 crore and is part of the Cement - Pan India industry.

The scrip has been an outperformer , up 67.7 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 21.02 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 596.5 and Rs 588.2.
