Will add ONGC to portfolio on diesel deregulation prospects: Deepak Shenoy

In a chat with ET Now, Deepak Shenoy, Founder, Capital Mind shares his view on portfolio stocks:

ET Now: Is there anything that you have added or thinking of adding to your portfolios from a 6 to 12 month time perspective?

Deepak Shenoy: We are adding ONGC. Diesel deregulation and regardless of where crude is going the fact that they will be free a little bit from the subsidy where it is going to be a positive for the company and perhaps the stake sale will give it more visibility with greater free float factor in the Nifty as well.

On the smaller cap front we are interested in shipping so we have picked up another stock called Dolphin Offshore. It is a really small company but we like that space.

We have gotten back into Apollo Tyres which has done fairly well, it has gone up about 10% in the last three weeks and it has gone down from 60 to 240 so 4x increase since after it fell when it tried the Cooper acquisition.
