On the technical side, how are the banks looking right now?

If you see the banking index, the relative strength is much higher, so one should wait for a decline to buy in such sector but not at current level because even State Bank of India has moved quite a lot but one can look into small PSU banks like Dena Bank or Vijaya Bank, one can build positions over there at lower levels.
