Vedanta news not to be trigger for Cairn: Avinash Gorakshekar

ET Now spoke to Avinash Gorakshekar, Head of Research, Anagram Capital Ltd., for a fundamental check on Cairn India.

What do you think would be the impact on Cairn India if Vedanta were to indeed go ahead and buy Cairn India’s parent company, Cairn Energy overseas?

This is a speculative kind of news and our sense is that if it does happen, then probably one will like to know what is the kind of thought process from a senior management level because from our understanding, at least from the core business goals, Cairn India is doing pretty well and in fact looking at the kind of production ramp up they have put up, investors should actually focus on the numbers. This kind of news is not really going to be a big trigger for the stock.
