Valuations are attractive in Chambal Fertilzers: Satish Betadpur

Satish Betadpur, CFA, Global Research Director, Independent International Investment Research PLC in an interview with ET Now talks about fertlizer space.

Fertilizer, is that a space that interests you and probably some amount of value buying can take place at current levels?

Well we have recommended at one time Chambal Fertilizers as a pick within the fertilizer space. Valuations are attractive and then also this whole monsoon being better than expected. There is some hope that there will be a higher sales of fertilizers I am not sure that there is any correlation there but there is expectations in anyway and the bigger issue there is a government going to decontrol the whole fertilizer sector and there has been rumblings to that effect. We have heard people talk about decontrol in fertilizer and that will be a huge catalyst to move these stocks upwards but otherwise one needs to just look at valuation and see if they are sustainable at these levels.
