Try to construct a portfolio: Ashwani Gujral

They should just look for good strong companies which they can stick with for the next say one and a half to two years.

In a chat with ET Now, Ashwani Gujral, Fund Manager, Ashwanigujral.com talks about today's market outlook.

For some of our retail viewers who have missed this rally but are now sure that they want to participate, how should they approach markets now?

They should try to construct a portfolio and they have to understand that this is no longer a bear market regime. What often happens is that they come at the top of a bull market. When the market starts going down, they get disgusted and they leave. If they understand that the regime has changed towards a bull market, any stock or most stocks that you buy are likely to rise till this regime remains in force.

I do not think timing 100 points Nifty this way or 100 points Nifty that way should be their business. They should just look for good strong companies which they can stick with for the next say one and a half to two years and that way they will be able to make much better money than trying to time the market.
