ET Now: What is your view on the market today?

Dipan Mehta: Such gap down openings offer very little opportunity for traders or investors to undertake any trade at all because even if one wants to short the market, it is at a lower level.

For investors seeking to lighten up on their portfolio, lot of the prices will be on the lower side and then volumes also may be slightly on the thinner side in the morning.

So we are in for a tough week and a tough trading morning as well. So one just needs wait and let the market settle down in the first few hours of trading and then perhaps take a call as to what one should do.
