NEW DELHI: Indian shares were under pressure in the morning trade on Thursday on the back of weak cues from global peers and as traders booked profits after the upmove in last session.

At 12:00 pm, the 50-share Nifty index was at 5,902.30, down 27.30 points or 0.47 per cent. It touched a high of 5,937.60 and a low of 5,881.45 in trade today.

The Sensex was at 19,403.88, down 72.12 points or 0.37 per cent. The index touched a high of 19,520.51 and a low of 19,335.72 in trade today.
