NEW DELHI: Indian shares were moving in a range with a positive bias on Monday following a draft report on General Anti-Avoidance Rules (GAAR).

P Phani Sekhar, Fund Manager-PMS, Angel Broking, however, is of the view that the development by itself may not push the market higher.

"What this will do is give reason to more players to invest at lower levels because after the GAAR provisions were made public, a lot of international investors were put off," he said.

"So it will give a window of opportunities to those players to enter which will in turn provide the floor for the Indian market and that is one more reason why the market should not be going meaningfully below the 5150 or 5100 levels," added Sekhar.
