Till a strategic investor is roped in, IFCI will not go anywhere: DD Sharma

ET Now caught up with DD Sharma, Head Of Research, Anand Rathi Securities to get his views on IFCI.

How do you track a story like IFCI, you are tracking it at all, are you convinced by the towns being made by the government, talking about consultants being appointed in the next 20 days because this has been a story that has been pregnant with anticipation but there has been no delivery so to speak?

You are right, since last two years since the government is saying that it will divest the stack in IFCI, it will rope in the strategic investor but unless the strategic investor is roped in, they infused the huge funds into the company.

Till there is real development in roping in the strategic investor, IFCI will not go anywhere but once you rope in good strategic investor who infuses the good amount of the money into this company, then the stock has a potential to even double from the current levels.
