Telecom sector story is not that great anymore: Nilesh Shetty

In a chat with ET Now, Nilesh Shetty, Associate Fund Manager, Quantum Long Term Equity Fund, shares his views on telecom sector.

ET Now: What is your call on telecom?

Nilesh Shetty: The sector story is not that great anymore. These stocks have had to go through a derating, but our sense is most of that is in the valuation but whether they will continue to outperform is not a call. At least, our sense is the position that we have had in the sector are continuing. The valuations are closer to specially the buy levels in some of the stocks, but increasing positions or allocating more to the sector is not a call that we have taken right now. But existing positions, we are not leading to trim these positions primarily because valuations are at a lower level or compare to history it is fairly favourable right now.
