Tatas looking at Brazil as focal point for their overseas expansion: Pashupati Advani

In an interview with ET Now, Pashupati Advani, Nirmal Bang Institutional Equities, shares his views on Tata Motors. Excerpts:

ET Now: Should one stick to global exposure plays like Tata Motors, or stay away completely from the auto space?

Pashupati Advani: JLR ( Jaguar Land Rover) is the only company not giving discounts; that may be the reason why they are going overseas. Obviously, the Tatas do not believe that the market is here and they feel the market is in South America instead. They are looking at Brazil as the focal point.

It is a long-term strategic decision and they are definitely a leader in the space. They are going to stay and invest more money in the businesses that they are in and are good at.
