Tata Motors will again start doing well: Quantum Securities

In a chat with ET Now, Neeraj Deewan, Director, Quantum Securities, shares his views on auto sector.

ET Now: What would you do with autos right now especially Tata Motors from the four wheeler pack, which would be your preferred pick there and also among two wheelers and between Bajaj Auto and Hero MotoCorp what would you like?

Neeraj Deewan: I would go for the four wheelers right now. I like Tata Motors, though last two-three months figures have not been that encouraging. After seeing a spurt in the sales globally and domestically, there have been some consolidation.

So there have been some disappointments to people who are tracking this company on a month to month basis. This needs to be tracked on a wider horizon. If you are talking about a quarter or the next six months and if one has to believe the numbers which were there two-three months back, Tata Motors will again start doing well in delivering better numbers.

So whenever the stock is going closer to 215-220, it is a good time to watch the stock again, so this will be the top pick in the autos. As far as the two wheelers is concerned if you see last three-fours years they have done very well. So if someone wants to invest for longer term two wheelers will not give as good as return as now the four wheeler counter parts.
