Tata Motors and M&M are the top auto stocks: Jigar Shah

In a chat with ET Now, Jigar Shah, Senior VP and Head of Research, Kimeng Securities India Private Ltd., shares his views on sutostocks.

ET Now: What is your call on the auto stocks?

Jigar Shah: I am not very bullish on Hero Honda. Bajaj is a better bet although in the near term it has underperformed in terms of monthly sales volume. I am more positive on both Tata Motors and Mahindra.

We have to watch out for special tax on diesel in the coming budget. If nothing like that happens which is a more likely the outcome, both the stocks are on for a good rise.
