MUMBAI: Mahindra & Mahindra is likely to put in a bid of around $480 million for acquisition of the South Korean sports utility vehicle maker Ssangyong Motor Company as part of its plan to establish itself as a global SUV company.

TATA Power that is locked in a bitter battle with competitor Anil Ambani-led Reliance Infrastructure and the Maharashtra government, on Monday, received a shot in the arm after the Bombay High Court allowed it to approach the central regulatory agency against the State Load Dispatch Centre.

Quippo Telecom Infrastructure is raising Rs 1,600-1,700 crore by selling stake in telecom tower company Wireless TT Info-Services or WTTIL. Earlier called Wireless Tata Telecom Infrastructure, the company was formed via a merger of the telecom tower operations of Tata Teleservices and Quippo in January 2009.

Aban Offshore has signed a contract with Petrobras, Brazil for the deployment of the drillship Aban Abraham offshore Brazil for a firm period of 5 years. The estimated revenues from the deployment is about $ 494 million (equivalent to approximately Rs 2285 Crores) plus a potential 3.85% performance bonus, the deployment is likely to commence during the 4 quarter of calendar year 2010.
