Still cautious of telecom sector: TS Anantakrishnan

In a chat with ET Now, TS Anantakrishnan, Head, Prime Wealth Management, shares his views on telecom sector.

ET Now: What is the expectation from telecom from here onwards, we are just awaiting Bharti’s earnings as well?

TS Anantakrishnan: As far as telecom is concerned, there has obviously been an improvement. As far as regulatory visibility is concerned, we will still stay off because there has been news in terms of pricing being raised which has been further denied. We will still be cautious and we do not have any investments in telecom. We will see for a quarter. Idea’s results were disappointed compared to what we were expecting. So there is still some pain left in that sector and we would wait for another quarter or two before things stabilise out here.
