Shifting to super critical technology might benefit companies: Seshadri Bharathan, KSEMA Fincon Ltd
Seshadri Bharathan, MD & CEO, KSEMA Fincon Ltd, in a chat with ET Now talks about the power space.
Many companies are entering into the power arena to supply these supercritical power equipments. Do you think this is a good momentum going forward from here and considering this business outlook?
Definitely yes the definition of supercritical technology is lesser coal consumption and higher output in terms of electricity generation and most of these power plants are shifting to super critical technology and they are very few Indian players which you can count on your fingers - be it L&T, BHEL, Crompton Greaves has stride up for supercritical technology. Even Thermax has stride up for supercritical technology.
So I think these are some of the players which might benefit from this play. As we know that India is power deficient country and there would be lot of emphasis on increasing the power production this year and executing lot of power projects, there would definitely be a demand for some of these equipments to ensure that power projects get completed on time.
