See enough scope for more upside for markets: Taher Badshah, Motilal Oswal AM

In a chat with ET Now, Taher Badshah, Senior Vice President & Co-Head Equities, Motilal Oswal AM, shares his outlook for the market.

ET Now: The way markets are moving up, it appears there is no worry in the world. Your take?

Taher Badshah: Yes, it would seem so. We have not had it so good in quite a while, especially in terms of the overall macro situation. Most of the factors seem to be sustainable right now.

ET Now: What is the sense that you are getting? At 8100-8150 or thereabouts, is it the best that the index can do for this year? Or, do you think the market has the potential to significantly scale up from these levels too?

Taher Badshah: If we were to look six months out, we see still a decent upside for the market. Further upsides will materialise if we can maintain our current earnings momentum and probably even improve upon that. This is the expected scenario for the next two quarters.
