Rupee depreciation to boost prospects of IT stocks: BP Singh, Pramerica Mutual Fund

In a chat with ET Now, BP Singh, Executive Director & CIO-Equities, Pramerica Mutual Fund, talks about the the IT space.

ET Now: Could IT be that sweet spot because of what is happening with the currency? Or you would not play it that way?

BP Singh: IT continues to remain attractive. Rupee depreciation will definitely provide an opportunity to it.

But at the same time, we are looking at other sectors too, because the economy is improving, and because we are not focusing on the near term.

We are focusing on the longer term. And in the longer term, we see sectors like the infrastructure, capital goods, etc., doing well. This is the time to pick up those stocks too.
