Reliance is no likely to perform well: Vikas Khemani, Edelweiss Securities Limited

One of the biggest concerns in the Reliance is where the growth is going to come from, gas volumes have definitely not ranked up.

Vikas Khemani, President, Institutional Equities, Edelweiss Securities Limited, in a chat with ET Now, talks about Reliance Industries.

What would you do with Reliance with the kind of news flow that we have been seeing on the stock?

One of the biggest concerns in the Reliance is where the growth is going to come from, gas volumes have definitely not ranked up. Most of the news flow of late has not been very positive. A quarter ago it was looking that the stock will do pretty well but I guess it has come to the same level where it was before.

My sense is that the stock is going to be a laggard for some more time. Unless we get to see some clarity on what the plan for growth management has. Currently the biggest worry in the stock is about growth, so either we see some amount of clarity on the gas volumes when are they likely to come.

Currently it seems to be going to 2013-2014, which is a big concern. If this continues the way it is, I do not think the stock is likely to perform well in short term to medium term.
