ET Now: How big an impact will the merger have on the overall sentiment, given that there has not been any merger and acquisition in the telecom sector in the last seven-eight years?
Sudip Bandyopadhyay: This is undoubtedly a very positive development. The deal has sent right signals to global investors. M&A in any business is a sign of maturity and the deal shows that Indian telecom business and the regulations are maturing. The deal can be a game changer for RCom going forward.
