Rail firms to change their nature and character if FDI permitted in this sector: Sudip Bandyopadhyay
In a chat with ET Now, Sudip Bandyopadhyay, President, Destimoney Securities, shares his views on rail sector. Excerpts:

ET Now: What is your perspective on some of the railway stocks in the current session?

Sudip Bandyopadhyay: It is warranted, provided the FDI cap on FDI is allowed in this particular sector. The rail sector has been languishing in India for some time and the potential is huge. Hence, if FDI is permitted in this sector, many of these companies will completely change their nature and character. Companies like Titagarh Wagons, Kalindee Rail etc., can get to a different league all together. Hence, FDI in these sector will be an excellent development for economy as a whole.
