Future transport vertical eyes Rs 1k-cr turnover
Mumbai: Kishore Biyani-spearheaded Future Logistics's transportation vertical is aiming to clock a turnover of
Rs 1,000 crore by 2013, a top official of the company said. "Transportation business, a vertical of Future Logistics, would be a separate business for the company and it is eyeing a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore in the next five years," said Future Logistics CEO Anshuman Singh.
Tata, Tchenguiz in $10-billion environment fund talks
London: UK-based property magnet and billionaire clean-energy investor Vincent Tchenguiz is holding talks with Indian conglomerate Tata, to invite invest-ment from the latter in a new $10 billion environment fund. The fund would invest in clean-energy projects in India and develop alternative technologies to replace fossil fuels, a leading newspaper said on Sunday. Tata wants access to technology that will make its businesses more energy-efficient.
BSNL to tie up for bundle schemes in Delhi
New Delhi: State-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is planning to tie up with handset makers to launch in Delhi new bundling schemes���offering the equipment along with the connection. In Chennai, BSNL and Chennai Telephones had already tied up with domestic handset manufacturer to roll out an integrated bundle offer for pre-paid subscribers.
