Prefer Titan than standalone jewellers: P Phani Sekhar

In a chat with ET Now P Phani Sekhar, Fund Manager-PMS, Angel Broking, shares his views on jewellery space.

ET Now: GST is likely to encompass the jewellery space as well. So what is your outlook on this space?

P Phani Sekhar: Never been a big fan of this space and considering the way trade deficit is panning I would be a little concerned over how this space will play out over a period of time. You might still prefer to be with more diversified and larger players like Titan than standalone jewellers so if you intent to be in that space then Titan is much better than playing around with smaller jewellers who are completely dependent on the government’s gold policy.
