Power stocks will report strong numbers: Seshadri Bharatan
Seshadri Bharatan, Investment Analyst, in a chat with ET Now talks about the power companies.
First I will take Religare. They are broadly moving in line with what they had reported at the time of filing their prospectus that they want to be global financial player and the acquisition is for company which is a fund of fund player in USA. It is a $3 billion fund of fund play. So the sense is that Religare is getting into all the areas of financial services. They already are present in life insurance business, they already have an AMC arm, they have a stock broking arm. Last year they bought a stock broking company in UK. So sense is that yes, they are expanding their business across all geographical and also across all verticals which means that they are developing themselves to a global financial player.
As for the second question Kalpataru Power, yes, most of the companies we seeing are in the execution stage and need lot of funds to exhibit their project. So in line with that, Kalpataru Power is raising funds to execute their projects.
Are you bullish on the stock and the business model?
Definitely yes, immediately we will not see returns in most of these power companies but yes, one or two years down the line once they complete their projects, these companies would report very strong set of numbers.
