Positve on fertiliser space: Prateek Agarwal
The new policy has to be an improvement over the existing policy for inducing the fertiliser players to expand capacity.
In fertilisers, do you take a broad structural call on the back of a potential decontrol of prices?
We have been positive on this space. As of now the industry is not finding it attractive to expand capacities and that has resulted in India importing close to 20% of its urea requirement. So, all said and done, the new policy has to be an improvement over the existing policy for inducing the fertiliser players to expand capacity. So, that is our sense at this point in time. What would be the new policy, how good it would be is under speculation at this point in time, but it has to be better than the one that is existing at this juncture.
