Positive on CMC & MphasiS in IT sector for small and midcaps
Adrian Lim, Investment Manager, Asian Equities, Aberdeen Asset Management talks to ET Now on the broader midcap IT space.
Final word on the broader midcap IT space because the sense is really that if businesses are looking up for the majors and things will start turning around for the mid tier or the small sized company as well?
That's a tricky one to call. I think you do need to be very selective about the midcap. The majors generally are doing okay but even within the majors there are stocks that you prefer I think it difficult bit about IT within India is that it such a professionally run sector that you are almost nitpicking at certain levels. You have got high standards throughout and everybody has their own preferences. In the midcaps you like MphasiS, we hold also another company called CMC, which is a subsidiary of TCS and we are positive on those two stocks in the IT sector for the small and midcaps.
