Optimistic on travel and leisure stocks: Gurunath Mudlapur

The extra buoyancy which we are feeling right now is more to do with this rebound rather than the specific stock activity or any positivity developing in these company

ET Now caught up with Gurunath Mudlapur, Director, Atherstone Capital Markets Ltd to get his views on travel and leisure stocks.

Anything really related to travel and leisure for instance Cox & Kings is doing well, do you see that whole space seeing a further upside from here on?

Over the last two weeks all the sectors and all the segments and all the companies had taken a beating in the stocks and there is also an element of technical bounce back in the shorter term. Today's rally is no different and it has something of a technical bounce back effect also.

The extra buoyancy which we are feeling right now is more to do with this rebound rather than the specific stock activity or any positivity developing in these company. It's more a technical rebound and it can consolidate around year and then things will move further in the positive direction. We are optimistic but we have to be choosy for the current year in terms of what you pick.
