NTPC not worthy, go for JSW Energy or Adani Power: Ashish Maheshwari

What is your view given the Gas Linkage Policy's contours, what would be the impact?

If we see even an impact on NTPC or IGL particularly if we talk, IGL will be certainly beneficial because they are the ones like who are setting up gas distribution network. NTPC also there will be slight benefit only for this because they fall into that PSU segment but still in private sector side, I do not see that in particularly next 1 to 2 years, there are too many power projects which are coming on gas side because still there is ambiguity on availability of gas and most of the projects are coming in thermal side only. So we need to just see how the gas allocation etc. will take place. Then only there will be some reflection in the stock prices but NTPC per se has really underperformed in this rally. So still I will not like to buy this. Instead of this, I will recommend JSW Energy or Adani Power which looks better.
