Now, things positive for Ranbaxy: Dr Tirthankar Patnaik

In a chat with ET Now, Dr Tirthankar Patnaik, Director, Strategist-Institutional Research, Religare Capital Markets Limited shares his views on Ranbaxy.

ET Now: Is it time to buy into Ranbaxy for some one who has not made an entry so far?

Dr Tirthankar Patnaik: One can be a buyer in Ranbaxy. However, as a house, we would go for Lupin, Sun Pharma and Dr Reddy's. Ranbaxy's performance in the US But took the street by surprise, where things were expected to be much worse. We had a slew of upgrades across the street notably from major MNC houses that have been covering the stock for a longish period and that got in the second wind for the stock. At this point, things are positive for Ranbaxy.
