Neutral outlook on metals: Aviral Gupta, Indiabulls Mutual Fund

In a chat with ET Now, Aviral Gupta, Fund Manager–Equity, Indiabulls Mutual Fund, shares his views on metals, IT pack.

What about capital goods, in fact since you are talking of metals first, let us talk about the metal boys, do you like anything here, would you look at adding on to any positions or would you stay away from metals completely?

I believe we will definitely have some exposure to metal. I will keep a neutral weight on metals as this point of time. Alcoa has cut down its production globally and that in case pressure on the aluminium prices as such. But if you remember 2008, 2009 in spite of cutting down the production the aluminium prices crash further. So we will take a very cautious approach for metals but we cannot ignore them at this point of time so we are planning to keep them neutral as such.
