Maruti looks attractive from 2-3 years perspective: Vikas Khemani

What about Maruti in the near term because volumes may actually get impacted because of the unrest that you have seen, plants only being shut down and then of course there is news that Volkswagen may actually be looking at a hostile bid?

Maruti has done well based on this news flow and all those things but structurally you might see some weakness in the quarterly earnings because of the above mentioned reasons and some amount of slowdown in the demand. But Maruti is a good stock.

We like the stock from a long-term perspective. If you look at 2-3 years perspective, the stock will give very good results as and when the interest rate peaks out and starts coming down.

In my opinion this stock will give very good return because it is a very interest rate sensitive sector and Maruti is a good penetrated brand in the Indian consumer. They can get into a growth trajectory, which can last for many years.
