Markets will remain in the 5300-5500 range in the short term: Gopinath Natarajan

"I would probably see couple of percentage points downside in the short term and we see the markets being in a broad range of between 5300 to 5500. "

Gopinath Natarajan, EVP, IIFL PReMIA in an interview with ET Now talks about his outlook for the market.

Time to be a contrarian, buy fear sell grief, there is lot of fear out there, are you a shopper?

Well what you have seen in the last few months is that from the month of March, where we saw huge liquidity coming. We have seen that kind of liquidity started to moderate in the month of April, it is receding in the month of May.

So, somewhere down the line I guess we would probably want markets to play out and spend some time here and probably wait for earnings to catch up and that is possibly what is happening now. So I would probably see couple of percentage points downside in the short term and we see the markets being in a broad range of between 5300 to 5500.
