Market to have a sustained bull run for the next three to five years: Vijai Mantri

In a chat with ET Now, Vijai Mantri, MD & CEO, Pramerica MF, shares his views on the markets. Excerpts:

ET Now: What is your outlook like for the near term?

Vijai Mantri: The market may look little expensive but that is the situation all across the globe. Most of the markets are available at 10 to 20 per cent premium to long term averages. India is best placed as far as these things are concerned. The market is reasonably valued. The market would track the broader earning growth of various companies and sectors. The downside risk to this market is very limited.

We do not see significant headwind coming from the global market. There could be some event for a week or 10 days time. If the market corrects during that time, it is a good opportunity to buy. We see very good sustained bull run of this market for at least the next three to five-year period.
