LyondellBasell may not act as big trigger for RIL: Unicon Investment
ET Now talks to Shrikant Shetty, Head, Equity Advisory, Unicon Investment Solutions on RIL stock.
The big call as far as the oil and gas space is concerned is clearly to do with Reliance, it looks like it was beginning to pick up at about 1015-1016 levels, do you think developments on LyondellBasell will have impact on RIL?
LyondellBasell may not act as a very big trigger. It will be something else which probably would be a gas find if at all that should be a trigger or it should be a time wise correction.
Probably at some point of time, it will become attractive. Maybe at 950-980 levels, it can consolidate for some more time and then become attractive at some point of time from an investment perspective. That is what would be a trigger, otherwise I do not see any substantial triggers happening.
Most of us are expecting some positive numbers given the defining margins have moved higher both in the oil side as well as the petrochem side. Most of the analysts are anticipating some amount of uptick in that but that would not act as a very big trigger.
Even LyondellBasell is more or less known. Whether it happens or not is a different thing but at least the fact that bidding there is very much known in the market. So I do not see these as triggers. It has to be something else.
